Shipkart Shipping provides domestic and logistics solutions through its network of courier and transportation partners. By booking a shipment through Shipkart Shipping, the customer agrees to the following Shipping Policy.
1. Shipment Booking
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate information, including sender and receiver name, address, mobile number, shipment details, weight, dimensions and applicable documents.
2. Pickup
Pickup will be arranged according to the selected service and the availability of the assigned courier partner. Pickup timelines may vary depending on location, operational conditions and serviceability.
3. Transit & Delivery
Estimated delivery timelines depend on the selected service, destination, courier partner and operational conditions. Delivery may be delayed due to weather, natural events, traffic, strikes, regulatory restrictions, incorrect addresses or other circumstances beyond our control.
4. Weight & Volumetric Weight
Shipping charges will be calculated based on the applicable actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher, as per the applicable rate card and service terms.
5. Address & Contact Details
The customer must provide a complete and correct delivery address and valid contact number. Shipkart Shipping shall not be responsible for delays, reattempt charges or returns caused by an incorrect or incomplete address.
6. Restricted & Prohibited Items
Customers must not book prohibited, illegal, hazardous or restricted goods. Shipments are subject to the applicable terms and restrictions of Shipkart Shipping and the selected courier partner.
7. Shipment Damage or Loss
Claims relating to loss, damage or shortage shall be handled according to the applicable courier partner's terms, declared value, insurance/ROV provisions and claim procedure.
8. Return & Reattempt
Shipments may be returned or reattempted due to non-delivery, incorrect address, recipient unavailability, refusal, COD failure or other applicable reasons. Additional charges may apply.
9. COD Shipments
For COD shipments, collection and remittance will be processed according to the agreed COD terms and reconciliation procedure.
10. Additional Charges
Additional charges such as ODA/Remote Area, Fuel Surcharge, ROV, handling, reattempt, return, detention or other applicable charges may be charged separately.
11. International Shipments
International shipments are subject to applicable customs regulations, duties, taxes, documentation requirements and the terms of the respective international courier/service provider.
12. Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for proper packaging, accurate shipment information, required documentation and compliance with applicable laws and courier guidelines.
13. Policy Changes
Shipkart Shipping reserves the right to update or modify this Shipping Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be published on the website or communicated through appropriate channels.
